About Me

Avatar

Hi! Hello! Welcome!

My name is Denisa Rudincová. I was born in Slovakia, but I currently live in the neighboring Czech Republic. I am a Software Engineering student at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the same university, and I currently work as a Web Developer for its Information System.

In my free time, I love playing board games. Although I have my favorites (like Karak and Cartographers), I enjoy discovering new titles just as much (including tabletop role-playing games). I also enjoy computer games, with Legends of Runeterra being one of my top picks.

Music is another passion of mine: listening, playing, and writing. I play the guitar, the piano, sing, write lyrics and dabble in composing. I even own a kalimba! One of my hobbies is also over-analyzing songs on my Discover Weekly playlist.

Version Control for Study Templates in Information System of Masaryk University

Perl OracleSQL JavaScript

My bachelor's thesis. You can find it here! I wrote my thesis in Slovak, but if you're interested, I will be happy to talk about it in English. :)

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a template versioning system in the Information System of Masaryk University (IS MU). The Templates agenda is used for course registration by students, pass/fail control or internal programme evaluation, but the current system does not allow access to historical versions of templates, which makes it difficult to trace historical data such as courses or conditions that templates contained in the past. As a result of this work, I have implemented a versioning system that stores versions of the templates. The solution also includes applications that allow viewing each version over time and comparing their differences. The applications are not yet available in the production environment of the IS MU, but they provide a basis for improving the management of templates.

The applications mentioned in the thesis are now up and running, available to programme guarantors, student administration office and tech support.
